Kavia Moulded Products specialises in the design and manufacture of precision plastic injection mould tooling and plastic moulded components. Investment in new moulding machines (8 machines, 35-200T clamp force and 60-450g shot volume) and a highly skilled workforce ensures efficient production with tooling produced to the highest tolerance levels. Kavia’s design and tooling knowledge, combined with advanced CAD/CAM technologies, result in optimum 2D and 3D solutions in tool design.
Kavia are a certified Link-up Achilles rail industry supplier of thermoplastic components for rail and tram contractors such as ferrules, bushes, top hats and EVA Pads. We also have a new range of rowing, sculling, boating and cycling products.
Injection Moulded Products and Design Services
Kavia Moulded Products has a very experienced injection moulding production team with an average of 13 years service. Kavia operates 8 Arburg machines with a press range of 35-200 tonnes. The experienced production team has an average output of over 300,000 mouldings per calendar month. The 500 sqm factory area, consists of 8 moulding machines, post-moulding operations, quality assurance, offices, material holding, tool storage and finished goods.
Kavia are an accredited ISO 9001:2008 manufacturer. As you would expect Kavia moulds in an extensive range of materials: ABS, polypropylene, acetyl, nylon, glass filled high performance nylons and all thermoplastic materials including virgin and recycled stock. Material colours can be created with masterbatch or by compounding.
Kavia has a range of its own products; the rail and tram components have a long history dating back to the British Rail days. The tools are configurable to produce the dimensions you want for your ferrules, bushes, top hats and EVA Pads. Use our online configurator to enter your required dimensions here. Kavia Moulded Products is an approved Link-Up supplier and each component comes with a certificate of conformity for materials and dimensions. A new range of rowing and sculling products has been developed. The first two products are the 2K Bow Ball and the BLMB Kit for mounting lights to boats.
